On this morning, after a delicious breakfast at your guesthouse, your guide will pick you up around 9:00 AM to start your 4 Day Trekking Orangutan Sumatra adventure. Begin with a peaceful walk along the river, then ascend through vast rubber plantations toward the entrance of Gunung Leuser National Park, a forest teeming with rare flora and fauna.

Once inside, you may be lucky enough to spot semi-wild Sumatran orangutans. Some are used to human presence, as this trail is popular, giving you the chance to watch them swing gracefully from tree branches, care for their babies, and move elegantly through the dense rainforest. Moments like these are the highlight of any 4 Day Trekking Orangutan Sumatra, leaving memories that last a lifetime.

Continue trekking through the jungle, pausing to enjoy fresh tropical fruit snacks. Then, hike for about another hour to reach a summit with breathtaking views of the Bohorok River valley and the majestic Gunung Leuser National Park—perfect for photos and soaking in the scenery.

After lunch amidst the serene forest, continue your 4 Day Trekking Orangutan Sumatra journey toward your campsite. Along the way, you may encounter Long-tailed Macaques, Pig-tailed Macaques, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, and even Monitor Lizards. Around 4:00 PM, arrive at your campsite, located near a waterfall or riverbank. Take time to relax, sip tea or coffee, and refresh yourself with a swim in the clear river.

Your guide will prepare a delicious forest meal with curry, rice, and other local specialties. After dinner, unwind around the campfire—chat, play cards, or simply enjoy the sounds of the jungle. Sleep soundly in your bamboo-framed tent, sheltered by a plastic sheet, as the natural forest sounds lull you into a peaceful night—the perfect first day of your 4 Day Trekking Orangutan Sumatra adventure.
